ProSmart – monitor for your adventures
ProSmart is a sensor monitor with an app to easily track multiple sensors and parameters on your adventure, whether you travel by an RV, a boat, a 4WD or an overland vehicle, giving you a wealth of information for comfort and safe travels. Â
Monitor water levels in your fresh or grey water tanks, gas levels in your BBQ / propane bottles, tyre pressure (TPMS), temperatures in the fridge, freezer or inside your vehicle, as well as your 12V battery charge, all from an easy-to-use app on your smartphone.
To install the ProSmart system, place the SmartLink close to the power source (12V battery), mount it on the wall with 4 screws, connect to the battery with the supplied cables, connect the wired temperature sensor if desired, download the free ProSmart app and pair it with the SmartLink. Pair the sensors via your phone – and you are ready to go!
For water tank monitoring we recommend installing digital water level indicators such as Dippers.
Additional Bluetooth sensors can be added at the later stage if desired.
Currently, the following Bluetooth sensors are available:
- SmartTemp – measures temperature in a range of locations throughout van
- SmartSense – provides accurate reading of remaining LPG Propane Gas level in bottle
- SmartPressure – maintains accurate recordings of tyre pressure and internal temperature

FAQs
Up to 40 SmartConnect sensors can be paired via Bluetooth to the SmartLink at once.
Up to four mobile devices can be paired to the SmartLink at once.
The Bluetooth within the ProSmart system has been tested and proven to work up to 20 metres in a direct line of sight.
This distance will vary depending upon circumstances and interference such as:
- The wall of a caravan.
- The transmission between the caravan and the tow vehicle.
- Construction methods.
- Placement of the product.
- The Bluetooth receiver of your device (including phones, tablets, smartwatches, etc).
- The environment.

Having used the gas bottle sensors for some time, I was hopeful when I ordered the SmartLink package.
Product and service both proved disappointing.
Pressure sensors shipped with dead batteries. It took 4 emails over the course of a week to establish that was the problem.
SmartLink unit refuses to update firmware but keeps prompting me to update firmware every time you look at the App.
Tried it multiple times on 2 different phones – same error each time.
It also took a week of back and forth emails before BMPro support said ” It sounds like there may be a known glitch with the iOS app that can interfere with the firmware update process, even though Bluetooth appears to be working fine.
If you have any friends or family with an Android device, it might be worth trying the update through that, just as a workaround.”
So they ship with flat batteries, knowing that it doesnt work properly with IOS (iPhones) and then tell you to borrow a friend’s Android or ship it back to them.
Then there is the range. Its pathetic. The gas bottle sensors had great range but the SmartLink has around half the range.
I put a smart link in my caravan a couple of years ago and on paper was a really good thing. Easy to install and pair the additional sensors. BUT… I got very sick of having to restart and repair my phone to the unit as it was freeze and not connect properly. The gas sense is not very accurate and the temp sensor for the fridge rusted from the inside out and stopped working months into install and is expensive to replace. Wouldn’t recommend
The fact that ProSmart combines a number of different functions within the one device, with all relevant information displayed on one screen – your smartphone – makes it particularly clever and worth adding to your RV.
