Monitor your fridge, freezer, and caravan temperatures with the Bluetooth Temperature Sensor SmartTemp
Bluetooth temperature sensor SmartTemp is a part of the SmartConnect range, used to monitor temperatures in a range of locations throughout your RV.
Place it in the fridge, freezer, or any internal area of your van, and use BMPRO Smart RV system (such as JHub, Odyssey, RVMaster, JAYCOMMAND) to monitor temperatures in up to four locations simultaneously.
SmartTemp requires ControlNode103 (for JHub users), OdysseyLink105 (for Odyssey users), or ProSmart.
SmartTemp sensor batteries can be replaced by following the below instructions:
- Using a small screwdriver, lift the lid from the recess side.

- Carefully lift the board with the electronics. Replace the CR2477 battery.

- Align the groove in the PCB with two pieces of plastic.

- Align the button on the PCB with the button on the base of the sensor Press the base down until it is locked.

Excellent product, working better than expected
When it works, it displays the temp fairly well – it’s within a couple of degrees of being accurate compared to other thermometers (electronic and dumb). Battery life is HORRIBLE! That’s the main reason for 2*. Those batteries are expensive and they don’t last over 20-25 days.

The short battery life you’ve described is not the performance we aim for. In normal operation, the sensor’s batteries should last significantly longer than 20–25 days, so what you’re experiencing may indicate an issue with sensor settings, environmental factors, or the unit itself.
We’d like to work with you to troubleshoot this and see if we can improve the performance — ensuring the unit is going into its expected low-power mode, and reviewing pairing or signal conditions that could be affecting battery drain. If needed, we can also look at a replacement under warranty.

Sensors are not accurate and several degrees off. Ive added dumb thermometers to confirm actual temps and the bmpros are vary from 1-10 degF.
Battery life is horrible. I turn off the sensors after every trip (3-5 days) and we usually take 10-12 trips per year, so at most the sensors are on 60days per year. I replaced the batteries last season and now again. My cheap $10 temp monitor is still using the original battery from three years ago.
Thought these would be great to integrate with my RVMaster but what a waste of money. Ive already had to replace the RVMaster screen once and two sensors and my rig is less than 2.5 years old. Now researching how to replace the entire system with something that actually works and is reliable.
Expensive for what you get. No alarms on tyre monitors.
