MiniBoostPRO Tech Tips

Rapidly charge your deep cycle battery while you drive

BMPRO’s MiniBoostPRO is a compact Lithium DC-DC charger with solar input, specially designed for the RV market. The MiniBoostPRO battery charger offers effective charging of your caravan, 4WD or camper trailer’s house battery from the towing vehicle’s electrical system. Blending both solar and auxiliary inputs, the MiniBoostPRO provides a combined charging current of up to a maximum of 30A, with a preference to solar. It features proprietary technology designed to charge from modern car alternators. Moreover, it can be used with LiFePO4 batteries as well as with traditional lead acid batteries.

The MiniBoostPRO provides a multi stage charging profile. It functions when wired directly to 12V batteries and enhances BMPRO’s BatteryPlus35 and J35 battery management systems. A range of protective features built into the MiniBoostPRO will guard your caravan or camper trailer’s charging capacity.

FAQ

The MiniBoostPRO Lithium DC-DC charger cannot be used inside an engine bay as it is rated to IP20.

No, the MiniBoostPRO will not connect if the voltage rating of your home solar panels is over 25V

The MiniBoostPRO works only when the battery is connected to the output. You can connect your appliances to a battery, but the MiniBoostPRO output will have to be connected at the same time.

This is not recommended as this could degrade the MiniBoostPRO’s functionality. Refer to recommendation of a service centre.

No, as this is due to the MiniBoostPro’s housing being physically and electrically connected to the negative terminal. Always be cautious of accidental connections from the housing to the batter y positive terminal.

The MiniBoostPRO is capable of charging multiple batteries installed in parallel.

It is recommended to have a suitably qualified person wire in the relay into your car and the MiniBoost as close as possible to the house battery to ensure optimal performance
