Emerging out of a season of lockdowns, 2022 has been a year of reconnection.

With a drive to return to pre-pandemic normalcy, the caravanning industry has seen a resurgence in on-the-road/off-grid travel unlike previously experienced. In fact, the Caravan and Camping State of Industry Report 2022 recently reported record numbers for the first time in four decades, reflecting a strong desire to ‘get out and travel’ post 2020.

As a company, we are committed to delivering reliable power management and Smart RV solutions that empower adventurers to travel smarter and for longer even in the most remote of destinations.

Follow our journey through the year as we reconnected with industry peers, experts and customers to disrupt how people travel, showcasing the latest innovation in RV technology.

National Caravan Conference

We kicked the new year off at the National Caravan Conference in partnership with the Caravan Industry Association of Australia. The National Caravan Conference is a five-day event organised by the Caravan Industry Association of Australia to support, recognise and reward businesses and professionals in the industry.

As exhibitors at the conference, our booth focused on showcasing our value in powering adventures. Complete with a fun juice bar, our stand was designed to connect with both industry leaders and manufacturers to talk about what we love the most.

Our CEO Louise Bayliss also spoke about being an Employer of Choice at an engaging panel discussion, talking about her journey in the industry as a woman, experience as a leader and all things BMPRO.

Victorian Caravan, Camping & Touring Supershow

In April, BMPRO was a proud exhibitor at the Victorian Caravan Camping & Touring Show held on the Melbourne Showgrounds. This event was the first-ever viewing of our 12 Volt Hub concept; a new solution rolled out across Australia to provide greater knowledge and awareness of the intricacies of their RV system.

The team had such a great time and experience launching this new concept. It was a fantastic opportunity to chat face-to-face with customers, to talk about the various cabling and battery options available for RVs, including their pros and cons and ways to maximise RV usage.

CIA VIC Hall of Fame

We’re not one to miss a day of getting glammed up to celebrate. As proud annual association partners and category partners for the ‘Manager of the Year Award, BMPRO had the privilege of celebrating the outstanding efforts of businesses within the caravanning industry at the CIA VIC Hall of Fame.

Over its 70-year history, Caravan Industry Victoria has been a leading body fostering the growth of the caravanning industry in Victoria. The Association’s annual Hall of Fame & Business Awards recognises member businesses and individuals in the caravan industry in Victoria for their achievement, commitment, and dedication to the industry.

2022 Victorian Caravan Industry Trade Exhibition

We welcomed the month of August as a sponsor at the 2022 Victorian Caravan Industry Trade Exhibition. The exhibit provided us with the perfect opportunity to network with caravan manufacturers looking to upgrade their caravans as well as other industry service providers – to see what’s new, innovative and a must-have in the world of on-the-road travel moving forward.

RV Open House

Our year got even better when team BMPRO attended the RV Open House after two years of cancellations. Billing itself as ‘The Largest RV Dealer show on Earth’, the RV Open House brought dealers from across North America to Elkhart to showcase everything new in the RV industry.

We exhibited at the RV Hall of Fame Suppliers Show as part of Open House, where we featured our retail range of Smart RV products, including ProSmart and the SmartConnect range available to RV dealers via NTP Stag.

Leisurefest

Finally, despite the occasional downpour, we were ecstatic to be back at the Melbourne Leisurefest this year. Melbourne’s Leisurefest showcases the largest and most popular range of caravans, pop-tops, tents, camper trailers, motorhomes, 4×4 and outdoor lifestyle accessories!

The team had a wonderful time setting up a one-stop shop for all things camping and caravanning. Here we were able to provide insight into the latest in travel innovations for RV manufacturers and adventurers alike to get stocked and ready for another season of off-gridding.
