New models of Bluetooth battery monitor BatteryCheck

Five years ago, BMPRO offered the Australian RV market a world first, patented, innovative wireless monitor, BatteryCheck, which enabled the ability to monitor a  caravan battery via an app on the smartphone and easy-to-install device fitted on the battery.

Previously caravanners only knew the status of their battery by the rather crude method of measuring volts, which could be unreliable. Moreover, volts change very quickly leaving the caravanner with no sense of security in really understanding the capacity of their battery.  Made it rather difficult to go bush with any sense of really knowing what was happening with power, until BatteryCheck was introduced!

BatteryCheck enabled travellers to better understand the mystery inside the battery, providing valuable information on it’s health and status.  This allowed RVers to become more experienced and more comfortable in really understanding what their energy status was, ensuring that the beer was always cold, and food was not spoilt – hassle free adventures!

New battery monitor BatteryCheck now available.

Today, we are excited to announce two new BatteryCheck series models are available – BatteryCheck100, a highly accurate monitor, handling current requirements under 100A, and BatteryCheckPRO, monitoring high currents  up to 300A, and compatible both with lead acid and lithium (LiFePO4) deep cycle batteries. We recommend BatteryCheckPRO to monitor your battery if you are using a microwave, inverter, CPAP machine, hair dryer, coffee machine, or other energy-demanding equipment.

The new app, BatteryCheck100+PRO, has modern look, features easy to read table and graphics, and provides all the vital information on battery health at a glance.

Battery parameters monitored are:

  • Voltage and Temperature
  • Charge/Discharge Current
  • State of Charge (SoC)
  • State of Health (SoH)
  • Estimated Discharge Time Remaining

A simple DIY installation, the new models are easy to retrofit and enabling monitoring of multiple batteries in parallel. The latest Bluetooth technology warrants reliability and enables to use of the device wherever you travel.

BatteryCheck100 and BatteryCheckPRO are great for caravanners, 4WDers and anyone with a secondary battery. However, they are not designed for the under-bonnet use or cranking applications.

Both models are available to purchase online at and via BMPRO authorised resellers.

    1. Hi Bob,

While we have not tested this particular brand / type of batteries, being a type of lead acid battery, lead crystal batteries would be compatible with BatteryCheck100 and BatteryCheckPRO.

  1. Thankyou BMPro
I have been using BatteryCheck from its early days.
Just a couple of questions. In what way is the new version an improvement? It looks as though it still measures the same information. Is it more accurate?
Is the new app backward compatible with the first version? I am trying to work out if there is value in upgrading the monitor or the app.
    Very many thanks
    Lloyd Carter

    1. Hi Lloyd,
Like all new release products, there are advances in technology.
They have improved state of charge algorithms and a newer technology Bluetooth chipset.
There is also the 300 amp version (BatteryCheckPRO) which is lithium compatible as well.
The new app is not backward compatible with the original BatteryCheck.
